这个作品当时有许多独特性和挑战性，现场的一侧是个西餐厅，我们把开放式厨房做成“表演舞台”的概念，用餐区环绕着舞台，客人在用餐之余还可以和厨师增进交流、互动。为了和已有元素达成视觉平衡，我们借鉴了柔和的曲线形状，用棱角墙面构建了和谐融洽的关系。

The given site had many uniqueness and challenges. On one side of the site, a Western restaurant, we perceived the open kitchen as if it is a performing stage, and the customers as audiences. The seating arrangement wrapped around the cooking performance area in a way to keep visual relationship between the chefs and the diners. Maintaining soft curved shapes throughout the project created a harmonic relationship between the additional and existing form.

现场的另一侧是个中餐馆，我们提出用更多的平面元素来应对庞大的现有墙体。按照每个平面的放置区域，提出不同角度，高度和厚度的平面墙体，构造了一个重重叠叠的视觉效果，这个构图让我们想到中国传统山水画中，山岳层叠的感觉。

The other side, a Chinese restaurant, we proposed more planes in respond to the overwhelming existing walls. By placing planes of different angle, height and thickness according to its zones, we created a journey in which customers walk in among surfaces. This composition exercise led us to the idea of layers of rocks and mountains perceive in the traditional Chinese landscape painting.
